King Leonidas
This was the first character I decided to work on for my demo reel during my Ai education. The project taught me quite a few things about how to model and texture my characters for the future.
I modeled all the pieces seperately such as the helmet, bracers, shin gaurds, belt, and so on. If this was to be used for games I would make sure to have all these things attached to a single mesh unless he was to have his helmet removable. It added considerably to the overall poly count, but I still like how he turned out. As for the textures, I handed painted most everything, and figure it would have looked quite a lot sharper and more detailed if I was to use real texture references.
